Green & Black Jasper

Green and black jasper typically refers to Kambaba Jasper, a stone also known as "Crocodile Jasper" or "Green Stromatolite Jasper." It's not a true jasper, but rather a sedimentary rock composed of various minerals, including quartz, aegirine, and feldspar, with swirling green and black patterns formed by amphibole. These patterns are often mistaken for fossilized algae, although the stone is not actually a fossil. 

Healing Properties:

Green Jasper is associated with grounding, promoting emotional balance, and supporting the heart chakra. Black Jasper, particularly Dalmation Jasper, is linked to protection, purification, and helping to break down blockages.
