Moldavite & Herkimer Diamond

Moldavite is a rare, olive-green natural glass formed about 15 million years ago when a meteorite struck the Earth in the region of modern-day Germany and the Czech Republic near the Vltava (Moldau) River. Classified as a tektite, it is famous for its rough, deep-grooved texture and is popular among gemstone collectors and spiritual communities.

 

Moldavite is formed from terrestrial rock melted by extreme meteorite impact heat and cooled into glass. Supply is heavily limited because active commercial deposits are scarce, making pieces expensive.

 

Moldavite is widely considered a powerful "stone of transformation."
