Tigers Eye

Tiger's eye is a chatoyant variety of quartz, a mineral known for its golden-brown colour and silky lustre. It's characterized by a unique optical phenomenon called chatoyancy, which creates a band of light that moves across the surface when viewed from different angles. This effect is caused by the parallel arrangement of crocidolite fibres that have been partially replaced by quartz during a geological process.
